Zach Smith is a sports reporter based in Waco, Texas, where he covers Baylor football and a host of other Baylor sports for the Waco Tribune-Herald.
Zach is a proud Michigan native and 2014 graduate of Michigan State University where he graduated with two degrees in journalism and audio/video production.
Previously, he covered high school, college and pro sports for the Hill Country News in Austin, Texas. While at HCN, he covered the saga of Austin FC from idea to fully-sledged MLS franchise. Before that, he covered high school sports and NPSL soccer for the Laredo Morning Times in Laredo, Texas. He also covered Michigan State football, basketball, baseball and soccer at The State News, MSU’s student newspaper.
